Adeel Amini is a freelance Senior Producer in Entertainment, and has worked on shows such as Catchphrase, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, Blind Date, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and many more. He is also the founder of pan-industry working group Coalition For Change, and sits on the board of Screen Yorkshire and the BAFTA TV Committee.
In 2018 Adeel formed what is now known as The TV Mindset, a mental health support group for freelancers based on his own experiences in the industry (and having to temporarily leave it). While initially a peer-support group, the TV Mindset has evolved into a platform for freelancers to share their issues while also advocating for constructive change.
Alongside wellbeing webinars, the TV Mindset has also tackled issues such as the culture of fear in TV as well as racism in the industry (a webinar that has since been watched by over 6,000 people). The name is now recognised in the industry as a force for change, and helps advise and inform policies of key players and institutions.
