Clare leads ITV's social purpose team which is focused on using the power of TV to inspire positive change in the UK and beyond. It aims to reflect and shape culture on mental and physical health; climate action, diversity & inclusion and giving back. In 2020 ITV published their net zero 2030 target and was the first broadcaster to require that all productions reduce their carbon footprint through albert certification. Last Autumn, ITV ran their first climate action campaign, The shows we never want to make, featuring Catastrophe Street, Saturday Night Blown Away and This Warming. The campaign set out ITV's ambition to produce the biggest shows with the smallest footprint and encouraged thousands of viewers to calculate their own carbon footprint too.
