Kate Phillips was appointed Director of Unscripted in May 2022. She is responsible for the overall commissioning strategy for the full range of unscripted content, encompassing Entertainment, Documentaries, Specialist Factual, Arts & Classical Music, Factual Entertainment & Events and Daytime & Early-Peak. Since her appointment into this newly created role, Kate has led on some of the highest profile television moments, including the debut of the double-BAFTA award winning psychological reality series The Traitors, the launch of hit series Gladiators, The Coronation of TM The King and Queen Camilla and the first Eurovision Song Contest to be held in the UK in 25 years, which was hosted in Liverpool on behalf of 2022 winners Ukraine.
