
Prior to her appointment as Chief Executive of ScreenSkills, Laura enjoyed a successful career in television, first at BBC Youth and Entertainment Manchester and BBC Entertainment before working at independents Watchmaker and Rapido TV on programmes including Eurotrash, The Clive James Show, The Travel Show, Reportage and Rough Guides.
In 1999, Laura co-founded BAFTA-nominated Outline Productions Ltd, responsible for globally successful formats and programmes including Remarkable Places to Eat, House of Tiny Tearaways, Guinness World Records Smashed, and Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country. Following Outline Productions' acquisition by Tin Roof Media, Laura was appointed as one of the group's Creative Directors, setting up the Wales office and launching a mentoring initiative during her tenure.
Laura was a member of Pact Council from 2012 and its Chair from 2014 - 2016. She served as an advisory board member of the Indie Training Fund and is currently a non-executive director of Elstree Film Studios.
