Monty Halls is an award-winning producer who runs his production company - Seadog - out of Totnes in South Devon. The companies output - both commercial and broadcast - has an emphasis on environmental programming, with their best known productions to date being two series of “My Family and the Galapagos” in 2018 and 2020 for Channel Four. A marine biologist by background, Monty is also the President of the Galapagos Conservation Trust, and a Global Ambassador for the Durrell Wildlife and Conservation Trust.

He worked for six months as an artisanal fisherman in Cornwall for the BBC2 series "Fisherman’s Apprentice", and has written eleven books on the marine environment, on communities and individuals living in wild places, our relationship with the world around us.”
