Simon is Chief Creative Officer at global production company Nutopia, overseeing all development and production.

He joined the company in 2008 as part of the team who pioneered the "mega-doc" genre with the record-breaking America: The Story of Us for History. Since then he has helped conceive or launch over 250 hours of premium factual content, including some of television's biggest-ever unscripted series, such as Limitless with Chris Hemsworth and Welcome To Earth with Will Smith for Disney+. His credits span blue chip science and history, such as One Strange Rock (Nat Geo) and The Royal Mob (Sky), and docuseries like The World According to Jeff Goldblum (Disney+) and recent Netflix No1Â Bad Surgeon.

Simon is also an Emmy-nominated producer and in 2023 was named one of Realscreen's inaugural Factual Under 40. He has a History PhD from a former life and remains a secret history nerd and long-suffering Charlton fan.
