PRIVACY POLICY FOR CREATIVE CITIES CONVENTION

The following Privacy Policy is presented by Creative Cities Convention to inform visitors and customers to our website of our commitment to provide excellent service. We want our services to be safe and enjoyable, and we are committed to protecting your data.

Who are we?
The Creative Cities Convention is a joint collaboration between the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Pact. The conference Chair is Ruth Pitt, former advisory Chair at Edinburgh TV Festival and NARM 2017.

What information do we collect?
Personal Data is information that can be associated with or relates to a person or could be used to identify the person the data is collected from.

When you use this website or register for further information or register to be a participant at the Conference, we collect Personal Data from you. This information can be anything from your name, your email address and your place of employment. This information helps us improve and provide our services to you. The information is retained on the website and is not shared with any third party, unless we are required to do so to comply with legal obligations or for lawful purposes. We retain data for a certain period as is permitted or required under applicable laws. Collection and use of your Personal Data is done in a matter consistent with this Privacy Policy.

We may use your personal information in order to correspond with you. This contact may be made in order to keep you updated on the services we provide, information about the Event or in relation to any correspondence we may receive from you.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that is held by CCC about you. Please be aware that proof of identity will be required. In addition to the data that you voluntarily provide, we also automatically gather certain technical data about visitor behaviour on our website. Legality of Data Processing
The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is effective from May 25th 2018, and requires us to inform you about our legal basis for processing of your data.

Eventbrite and Payment processing
Registration and payment for the Creative Cities Convention is managed through the Eventbrite website. Creative Cities Convention will not receive or be held responsible for any payment information that Eventbrite might require in order to process your payment. CCC may receive part of the information you give to Eventbrite in order to register you for the event. This information may be anything from name, email address, phone number and place of employment. Creative Cities Convention will not be held liable for any faults in the processing of payments or any lost or not received tickets to the Event. CCC will not be liable for any functions, malfunctions or information stored or linked to on the Eventbrite websites. It is CCC’s understanding that Eventbrite are compliant with the GDPR and the new Data Protection Rules.
