We’re continuing to work with partners to highlight or create new opportunities, such as skills development schemes, including  a one-month paid internship this summer working with the drama development team at London-based scripted specialist Clapperboard Studios (The Madam Blanc Mysteries, The Teacher, Maxine). Clapperboard Studios’ in-house development team will work with the winning candidate to develop their pitch to match the latest channel brief, to better understand how to develop and produce drama.

Throughout CCC we supported as many local talented people as possible, whether it was our photographers, AV company and crew, stewards and VT editor as well as local organisations such as Bradford Producing Hub and The Unit. We’re delighted to share more on some of the brightest local talent in this online ‘zine, produced by The Unit, the free open access space for film-makers and creatives funded by Channel 4 and Bradford Council with support from Screen Yorkshire.

Alongside our panels on industry issues, practical sessions on funding and creative masterclasses, we know that our one-to-ones with commissioners foster new relationships and business every year as do our wider networking opportunities, including at our party. YouTube also held a Creators Collective at BradfordLive, facilitating connections between local content creators, local producers, council members and policy heads.

Our freelancers were given an insight into training and schemes available, and CCC was proud to have NFTS Leeds launch its new AI course at our event.
